From LSYSA:
Rules & Guidelines
Changes-Summary of Primary
Changes
-
Rosters:
There are limits based on
age groups (U9-10 @ 12
players, U11-12 @ 14
players, and U13- U18.
-
Rosters:
Teams are allowed up to (4)
"floaters" from another team
within the club who will
appear on both rosters. The
intent of the rule is to
allow more players the
opportunity to get more
playing time. These players
should not be the top
players from the other team.
They should be players who
do not start on the "A" team
and thus will benefit from
starting on the "B" team. It
also allows clubs to form
(2) teams instead of having
too many for one. This
system also allows Academy
programs some flexibility
and development benefits to
these players. Floaters may
only come from one division
up or down.
-
Rosters:
Seasonal changes = 5
-
Rosters:
Rosters will be frozen every
Tuesday at 5pm and re-opened
at 6pm on Saturdays. This
gives teams from Sat evening
- Tuesday @ 5pm to make
roster changes
-
Rosters:
Teams are to present their
Demosphere Team Page roster
to the referee prior to each
match. This is in addition
to the player passes.
- Schedule
Changes: There will
be no changes to the LSYSA
rules, however, the rules
will be enforced. Generally
speaking, a schedule change
made (2) weeks in advance of
said match will result in a
$25 fee to be charged to the
club. Within (2) weeks and
the fee is $50. In order to
hasten the process, teams
should contact the opposing
team to arrange a suitable
date and time and field to
present to the League
Scheduler. The request
should then be sent to the
LS stating the match # to be
rescheduled, the Division,
date, time, field, teams and
the agreed upon date, time
and field. The LS will try
to accomodate the agreed
upon match, but reserves the
right to alter the match
details if a conflict is
evident. The LS will then
send an invoice to the LSYSA
Treasurer for the
rescheduled match.
- Forfeits:
Notification of a forfeit
after 6pm on the previous
day will result in a $100
fine as will a no-show by
the team.

Coaches and Team Managers:
As the new director of coaches I would like to welcome you all
to Wildfire Soccer and thank you for your hard work and
dedication. Our fall season is off to a good start. Micro teams
U-6 and U-8 have had a few games and Saturday opened our travel
teams season.
Walterboro Soccer Club is a developmental soccer club focusing
on teaching basic fundamental skills of soccer, teamwork and
good sportsmanship above all. As coaches it is our
responsibility to help each player work to his or her greatest
potential. Basic skills of passing, trapping and shooting should
be worked in to every practice. Soccer is a team sport and every
position is important. Players should know that when a goal is
scored the TEAM scored a goal and when a goal is allowed the
TEAM allowed a goal to score. It is our job as coaches to keep
the team positive and take mental notes during a game of areas
to work on at practice. Players should have equal playing time
in every game as much as possible. Praise a player’s hard work,
good effort, hustle and even good attitude. Push them to do
better, correct them when wrong but do it in a positive way.
Again I thank you all for your efforts and look forward to a
great season of soccer.
