WE HAD ONE OF OUR LARGEST TURNOUTS THIS PAST SEASON WITH NEARLY 200 PLAYERS.  WE LOOK TO GROW THOSE NUMBERS AND CONTINUE TO IMPROVE OUR IN-HOUSE PROGRAM AND THE COMPETITIVENESS OF OUR TRAVEL TEAMS.

Walterboro Soccer Club 2011 Soccer Camp for Youth Age 4-17

Aug. 1-5, 2010   6 - 8:30 pm

at the WSC Complex on Sidneys Road

$50 for first child in family.

$45 for subsequent children in the same family.

Each child will receive a T-shirt (included in fee)

* Each child will need shin guards, soccer ball, water bottle.

Fall 2011 Registration is OPEN! 

Parents and Players,

Registration for the Fall Season and the Summer Camp is open. The Board has been working hard this summer to enhance our programs. I will be sending you email updates periodically to let you know what we are doing. You can also check the website for information. We will be creating a link to our Board meeting minutes, which are very informative. For today, I have two announcements.

1. For Micro (in-house) players (ages 4 to 9)

We have exciting news! We will be expanding our micro (in-house) program to now include a U-10 division (ages 8 and 9), along with the U-6 and U-8 divisions. This means that 8 and 9 year olds will not have to travel every weekend to play soccer. Our goal is to increase player participation and development by staying at home and playing at our great facility. Please spread the word about this so that parents will know travel at that age is no longer necessary.

2. For Travel players (ages 10 to 17)

It's time to change uniforms for our travel teams. We will be going with the brand new ADIDAS Tabela 11 uniform. This uniform is extremely lightwight, moisture wicking, and very professional looking. I know the kids will love them. We also have adopted a new logo which will be debuted on the uniforms. The uniform kit (2 jerseys, shorts, socks) will cost $60 per player. We encourage you to pay for the uniforms through online registration so that we can meet the order deadline. These uniforms will be in place for at least 2 years.

Walterboro Soccer Club will be hosting a Summer Youth League that will be "In-House" at the Soccer Club fields.
All players U12-U18 are invited to attend.
Cost is $45.
Registration through the WSC website.
Registration is open until June 16th.

The Walterboro Soccer Club – ASL will provide an “In House” Adult Soccer League for players age 18 years and older at time of registration.  Players 16 and 17 years old at time of registration, will be allowed to participate as long as a Parent/Guardian IN PERSON completes and signs the Liability Waiver at the Soccer Fields. The game structure will be 6v6, with a maximum of 10 players per side and 30 minute halves. Players will register with the League Club (WSC–ASL) every season they intend to play (Winter, Summer, and Fall).  Players will also be required to register with SCASA (SC Amateur Soccer Association) annually.  The Annual Soccer year is Sept 1 thru Aug 31.  The club’s intent is to provide opportunity for game play for competitive and recreational players alike. (Teams can travel and participate in SCASA or USASA sanctioned tournaments, but are responsible for their own registration and expenses.)

Our Summer Season will begin June 16, 2010.  Games will begin in July.  We will have player meetings on June 7^th and 9^th, 2011 from 6:00-7:30 pm.  During this time we will open League registration, review the league rules, select the team captains and begin team selection.  Team Captains will be drawn at random for all Divisions on June 7^th.  Players must be registered with WSC–ASL to be selected to a team.  You can register with WSC–ASL at this time, and once teams and team reps are chosen the team can register with SCASA.  As soon a player cards are provided, that team can begin practicing.
